Efflorescence & Calcium Buildup Removal
Specialty restoration cleaning for concrete, pavers and masonry stained by white efflorescence, calcium and mineral deposits.
What That White Crust Is
Efflorescence is the white, chalky film that shows up on concrete, block walls, brick and pavers. Water moves through the material, carries minerals to the surface and leaves them behind when it dries. Sprinklers, drainage and hard water make it worse.
Regular pressure washing does not remove it. We use professional efflorescence and mineral-removal products, follow the manufacturer’s dwell times, agitate and repeat where needed, then use a surface cleaner on flat areas to break up the loosened buildup.
- Professional efflorescence and mineral-removal chemicals
- Manufacturer dwell times and application methods
- Agitation and repeat treatment where needed
- Surface cleaner on horizontal surfaces
- Spot treatment based on how the surface responds
- Final rinse and cleanup

How It Works
1. Assess
We look at the surface, the buildup and the likely water source.
2. Treat
We apply a product chosen for the surface and let it work for the right amount of time.
3. Agitate and clean
Treated areas are agitated, and flat surfaces are cleaned with a surface cleaner.
4. Repeat and rinse
Stubborn spots get another treatment, then everything is rinsed.
Good to Know Before We Start
We put this in writing on every estimate so there are no surprises.
- Complete or permanent removal is not guaranteed. Results vary by surface and can be uneven.
- Efflorescence can come back if water keeps moving through the material.
- Fixing sprinklers or drainage is often the long-term fix. We will point out what we see.
- Sealing, waterproofing and concrete repair are separate unless they are on your quote.
- Results can range from dramatic to minimal depending on the surface and how deep the deposits go. Recurrence is not covered as a warranty issue.

Efflorescence Removal FAQ
Can pressure washing remove efflorescence?
Not by itself. Water alone often makes it come back. It needs a mineral-removal treatment and agitation.
Will it come back?
It can, if water keeps moving through the concrete or masonry. Fixing overspray and drainage helps the most.
Is the treatment safe for pavers and brick?
We choose products for the surface and follow the manufacturer’s directions. Some materials react differently, which is why results vary.
Should I seal afterward?
Sealing can help slow new buildup on some surfaces. We can quote it as a separate step.
Can you help with an HOA violation notice?
Yes. Send us the notice and a photo of the area. We clean it, then send you before-and-after photos you can give your HOA to show the problem has been taken care of.
