The problem

The facility’s long concrete drive aisles had built up dirt and grime, and there was heavy dark staining on the concrete at the base of many unit doors. The building exteriors and roll-up doors also needed a wash to remove dirt, algae and mildew.

What we did

• Washed the building walls, pilasters and roll-up doors, using low or high pressure depending on what each surface could handle.
• Treated algae and mildew so it lifted off instead of being spread around.
• Hot-water washed (180–200°F) the drive aisles with an industrial degreaser. We pre-treated and scrubbed the heaviest stains, then re-treated any spots that needed a second pass.
• Managed wastewater to local environmental standards.
• Did a final walk-through to confirm everything was done.

The result

Our crew started around 8 a.m. and finished the full facility, including building exteriors and drive aisles, by late afternoon the same day. The concrete came out evenly clean from end to end, and the doors and walls were free of built-up dirt.
